About The Position

Powered by the GI Alliance, Colorado Gastroenterology, with three convenient locations in Denver and Aurora, offers a full spectrum of gastrointestinal services. The team is proud to be one of the region's most trusted resources for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of all gastrointestinal and liver diseases. We are currently seeking a Medical Office Scheduler for one of our Denver, CO location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years' experience scheduling for a medical office environment
  • Previous scheduling or insurance referral/authorization experience
  • Medical Assistant or equivalent education
  • Experience working with an EMR or Centricity PM
  • Advanced knowledge of medical/GI terminology and insurance plans preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and to prioritize
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the field of Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine
  • Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from patients
  • Schedule patient appointments to include procedures and follow up visits
  • Coordinate with facilities
  • Enter patient demographics and insurance information
  • Provide detailed directions to patients for preparations prior to procedures
  • Support the overall goals of the company
  • Perform other job related duties as requested or required
