About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Home Health Scheduler to join our Home Health Agency team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the schedules of our healthcare professionals (RN, PT, OT, ST, HHA) to ensure timely and effective service delivery to our clients. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and adapt to rapidly changing environments will be essential in maintaining high-quality patient care and service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Must have previous experience in Home Health scheduling.
  • Hands on knowledge of Home Health regulations as it applies to visit frequencies and episode durations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficient in using Kinnser and Google Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Office-based position with frequent phone and computer use.
  • May include occasional on-call or after-hours scheduling responsibilities depending on agency needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals (RN, PT, OT, ST, HHA) and administrative staff to create and manage daily schedules for home health visits.
  • Coordinate with clients and families to understand specific care needs and preferences, ensuring appropriate staffing for patient visits.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules using Kinnser and CareStitch in response to unforeseen changes, such as staff availability or patient emergencies, while maintaining optimal coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee schedules, patient appointments, and any changes or cancellations.
  • Communicate schedule changes to staff and clients promptly and effectively.
  • Utilize scheduling software and tools (Kinnser and CareStitch) to optimize and streamline the scheduling process.
  • Assist with resolving any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuity of care.
  • Support administrative duties related to scheduling, such as data entry and reporting.
