About The Position
The position involves scheduling surgical procedures, diagnostic tests, therapy services, and other medical appointments in a timely and accurate manner. The first 30 days of the job will require working from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, followed by a shift from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. The first six months will be onsite, after which the position will transition to a hybrid model with work from home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Responsibilities include obtaining related documentation such as patient information and insurance coverage, coordinating scheduling with other departments and facilities, and ensuring optimal utilization of patient facilities to support patient care. The role also involves maintaining various related records, coding charges, and performing clerical and administrative duties. Additionally, the position requires ensuring the timely receipt of written orders and verifying that these orders meet compliance guidelines as part of quality assurance. There may also be responsibilities related to charge audit functions for the department.
