About The Position
We are hiring a Scheduling Specialist. The role involves utilizing EMR and scheduling tools to efficiently schedule all visits with field staff, taking into account business needs, patients' needs, and employee needs. The Scheduling Specialist will process workflow for requested scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits, and monitor Pending Referrals daily, assigning licensed professionals and patient care managers for all SOC visits. Daily communication with field staff regarding any visits unaddressed in late, pending, or incomplete status is essential for resolution as appropriate. The specialist will run Scheduling Request Reports daily, complete requests as appropriate for Medicare week, monitor productivity and distribution of regular visits for caregiver optimization, and communicate with the team leader as necessary. Additionally, the role includes reviewing the Unverified Visit report daily, communicating directly with field staff, patient care managers, and clinical directors as needed, and monitoring action screens to process all assigned tasks in a timely manner. The Scheduling Specialist will assist in coordinating scheduling and tracking all supervisory visits and therapy reassessment visits as required per regulatory requirements. Participation in annual in-service programs, workshops, continuing educational programs, and seminars is also expected. Professional communication with all employees and external contacts, including physicians and referral sources, is crucial. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
