About The Position

The Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET) at UC Berkeley is seeking a SCET Fellow Sponsorship Lead, a student position designed to support the SCET Student Innovation Fellowship program. This program is a structured initiative aimed at helping students develop their entrepreneurial mindset through engagement in projects that focus on cutting-edge technologies and personal entrepreneurial journeys. The SCET Innovation Fellows will participate in a series of challenges over 12 weeks each fall semester, culminating in unique networking and industry experiences. The position is set to run from April 1, 2025, to December 15, 2025, with the possibility of continuation into the spring 2026 semester based on performance and program review.

Requirements

• Interest in creating and supporting a Berkeley student community
• Affinity for managing social platforms including Twitter, Discord, Instagram
• Project management experience and the ability to handle deadlines
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and analytical skills
• Committed to a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to corporate organizations and campus departments to identify potential sponsorship and collaboration opportunities for SCET Fellow challenges
• Develop strategic partnerships with student groups to enhance Fellow Program visibility and increase participation
• Craft sponsorship proposals and pitch opportunities
• Track and report sponsorship impact, ensuring successful execution of sponsorship agreements
• Maintain sponsorship records and provide updates on partnership development
• Ensure relationships align with SCET's mission and program objectives
• Participate in a weekly 1:1 meeting, Fellow group meetings and biweekly marketing meetings
• Attend one to two Fellow events as preferred
