About The Position
The Scenic Designer is responsible for executing the construction of all scenic pieces, from design to load in, ensuring a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The Scenic Designer will collaborate with the director and production team to conceptualize and create a set that enhances the characters and storytelling. They will identify and source building materials, furniture, and other items needed for construction while adhering to budget constraints. The Scenic Designer will occasionally lead a team of community volunteers, ensuring safety is always maintained. They will also effectively manage time to meet deadlines and ensure the set is ready for tech week and performances.
