About The Position

Employees of the scene shop will be responsible for realization of all scenery and lighting designs for Mercer University Theatre. In short, we create magic and illusions four shows a year. Employees will work hard, have fun, and get dirty.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to students who are Theatre majors
• Preference will be given to students who plan to be a Theatre major
• Preference will be given to students who are looking to be involved in the theatre for fun
• Preference will be given to students who simply have construction experience

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
• Work with all manner of power tools, including saws
• Perform their job while strictly observing safety
• Occasionally work on Saturdays as needed
• Be open to learning new things
• Commit to a work schedule for the semester
