About The Position

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The scan coordinator is responsible for maintaining clear, correct pricing throughout every department in the store.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
Possess basic computer skills
Possess strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Ensure that pricing throughout the store is clearly posted and correct
Follow all operating procedures for the scan department
Finish all paperwork required for the scan department
Make sure any price discrepancies are fixed immediately
Perform weekly/ monthly price audits (i.e.: entire store audit, produce scan audit)
Spend the necessary time to select, train and develop scan department associates to maintain a steady reserve of personnel for each position
Write the schedule for the scan department team
Oversee weekly price changes and review the work of the price change team to ensure accuracy
Communicate the importance of price accuracy to all department heads and store management
Maintain a positive work environment for associates and a positive shopping environment for the customers
Organization, planning and self-discipline
