About The Position

The Scanner/Indexer supports the Unconventional Land organization by collecting, preparing, scanning, indexing, and routing physical and digital land documents. This role is responsible for maintaining document accuracy, quality control, and proper handling within ExxonMobil’s enterprise content management systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year clerical or general office experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of administrative or land-related experience in Oil & Gas
  • Familiarity with land documentation and land services workflows

Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, prepare, scan, box, and route physical documents received via mail or interdepartmental delivery
  • Digitize land-related documents and ensure proper indexing and routing within content management systems
  • Perform quality assurance checks on scanned documents
  • Support document archiving and tracking activities for Land and Land Services teams
  • Process incoming physical land documents
  • Prepare documents for scanning (sorting, labeling, removing staples, etc.)
  • Scan physical documents into enterprise systems
  • Perform QA/QC on scanned images to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Route, track, and index digital documents appropriately
  • Support special projects and surge workload periods as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive land documentation
  • Manage multiple tasks with strong organization and prioritization
  • Identify and escalate non-routine issues to Manager or Lead
  • Recommend process improvements and procedural updates
  • Work under moderate supervision with reasonable autonomy
  • Identify need for additional resources during peak workload periods
  • Work closely with Uncon Land and Land Services teams
  • Coordinate document processing activities across internal departments
