About The Position

Responsible for the overall performance and implementation and structure of the SCaN Programs in New City and Roseland. Develops and maintains relationships with program partners and funders. Collaborates with personnel from relevant agencies/schools/churches/communities. Organizes and facilitates regular team meetings for program staff. Responsible for the hiring of staff and annual evaluations of staff’s performance. Maintains and balances program budget with the assistance of the Program Manager. Develops and implements reports, presentations, and advertising for program. Manages all program paperwork and reporting to respective funders, grants management team, and other partners. Develops program policies, service delivery plans and ongoing monitoring of program quality. Provides reflective supervision, coach and mentor the staff to ensure the implementation of the education programs within the department reflects the respective funder’s philosophy and curriculum; promote and support professional development of the education staff. Ensures all assigned program reports are completed and submitted on a timely basis. Ensures all mandates of SCaN performance standards are met. Ensures all confidential information is protected. Works with the SGA Research and Evaluation Unit to analyze data and data reports. Participates in on-going training and staff development provided by funders, Program Managers, other consultants, workshops and conferences. Contributes with the Agency’s efforts related to prevention and integrated service delivery with other community providers. Demonstrates knowledge of the Agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement Activities. Supports and contributes to inter-system collaboration with other service providers to improve social service delivery systems. Represents the program at Department and Partner meetings. Attends and participates in meetings for clinical, managerial, and/or full staff. Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervision/administration is required
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required.
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
  • Must demonstrate leadership abilities and ability to utilize reflective supervision.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database.
  • Advanced working knowledge of data management systems.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to transport oneself to and from home visits.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and events needs.
  • Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.
