About The Position

The Scan Inventory Auditor will play a vital role in supporting the Loss Prevention Department by conducting internal inventory audits at retail store locations across designated regional areas. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory records through hands-on physical audits and strategic planning of inventory counts. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for scanning, counting, and verifying inventory, while maintaining clear communication with Store Managers and Loss Prevention Managers. This role requires frequent travel to store locations, punctuality, and the ability to interact professionally with staff and customers during audit procedures. You will be paid $2.56 for every $1,000 in inventory counted ( $150,000 inventory level store = $384).

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma/GED.
  • A valid drivers and transportation to and from audit sites.
  • Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change with a positive attitude, learning quickly in dynamic environments, and adjusting approaches to meet evolving challenges and goals.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders, listening actively, demonstrating respect, and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Practice identifying and responding to customer needs with professionalism, empathy, and a focus on delivering high-quality service.
  • A history of meeting schedules, arriving on time, following through on commitments, and taking ownership to ensure tasks are completed accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Scans barcodes or inventory tags to perform inventory audits.
  • Physically move and count each individual piece of inventory.
  • Ensure accurate count and recount if necessary.
  • Plan, prepare, and schedule inventory counts timely.
  • Anticipate which stores will need more frequent inventory counts.
  • Provide Store Manager and Loss Prevention Manager with audit results.
  • Interact with customers and employees at all levels during store audits.
  • Arrive promptly at stores for audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
