Requirements

  • Strong customer service orientation and courtesy with customers and coworkers.
  • Clear, professional communication skills with management, corporate pricing, vendors, and store teams.
  • Ability to work with urgency, especially on the sales floor and within the file maintenance room.
  • Organizational skills, accuracy, and strong time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively under deadlines and time constraints.
  • Problem solving and decision‑making abilities; able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in computer-based programs and handheld scanning equipment.
  • Knowledge of store layout and product locations, enabling accurate tagging and auditing.
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Leadership experience when overseeing backup FMCs and others assigned to the department.
  • Pricing systems, item files, and store computer accuracy processes.
  • Understanding of departmental reports, schematics, price cycles, and tagging procedures.
  • Federal, state, and local compliance requirements, including recall notices and out‑of‑stock processes.
  • Follow instructions accurately and adhere to customer service procedures.
  • Work varied schedules, possibly including nights, early mornings, and overnight shifts.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as continuous lifting, gripping, twisting, and frequent standing/walking.
  • Stay detail‑oriented when printing, sorting, and placing tags and signs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure pricing integrity throughout the store by verifying shelf tags match the store computer system.
  • Print, sort, and distribute signs, shelf tags, scale sheets, and departmental reports (tags, S&P, weekly ads).
  • Audit store sections, displays, and pricing bulletins for accuracy, using handheld computer tools.
  • Research and correct pricing errors; communicate discrepancies to Corporate Pricing.
  • Execute regular price cycles, monthly resets, and new item placement according to schematics.
  • Monitor inter-office mail and company webpage for updates; respond to vendor inquiries and out‑of‑stock notices.
  • Provide friendly, courteous customer service while assisting departments with price changes.
