Plant Office Administrator Summary: This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of field office support functions including, but not limited to, the following: weighing and ticketing trucks, preparing daily load summaries, managing inventory, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, filing, answering calls, light bookkeeping, courier duties, customer relations, etc.

Requirements

  • One (1) year related experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systems.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings)
  • Valid Driver License - Must be able to travel for extended periods to locations in Mississippi
  • Must be detail oriented, highly organized and have the ability to work well with limited direction and supervison.
  • Must be able to pass physical fitness and agility test.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Must be able to manage a variety of projects and tasks at the same time
  • Must have the ability to work productively in a fast- paced environment
  • Will keep time and material records.
  • Develop knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
  • Must have knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
  • Will provide excellent customer service to customers and vendors
  • Will adhere to company policy regarding inventory and payment collection.
  • Will travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations.
