This position is responsible for properly packing and scaling bacon, monitoring scale tare for correct setting and keep area clean. In downgrade position, inspect bacon slices to meet specific standards for various orders as set by leadership. Scale bacon to exact weight or tolerance set by leadership.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.
  • Willingness to add to knowledge base and skillset.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and maintains scales.
  • Open/Closes production orders in SAP catch weight application.
  • Positions product on scale and weighs.
  • Verify correct box label to sku as per specification.
  • Marks weight on box or applies scale to carton.
  • Packs product in carton.
  • Document pallet HU’s and Tare weights.
  • Makes and labels boxes whenever possible.
  • Verify production date per specification.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
