About The Position

The JBS Pork team is seeking a 2nd shift Scale Operator. This position is responsible for supervising hourly union workers and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in Humane Handling. The Scale Operator will receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant, count and sort off-quality hogs, supervise the workforce in the completion of their duties, and complete necessary paperwork. The role requires adherence to relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including the Packers and Stockyards Act and Humane Handling.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to provide leadership/motivation to engage employees in the business
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office software skills
• Internal applicants must have less than 2 attendance points and no written warnings or suspensions in the last calendar year
• Experience in swine production
