This is a full time salaried non-exempt position. The Scale Operator will be responsible for weighing trucks into and out of the facility as well as all paperwork associated with incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves coordinating unloading, loading and staging of farmerstock, hulls, oilstock and shelled good shipments, and requires effective communication with the office team. The operator will also be responsible for recording balancing and distribution of all required administrative paperwork and records with incoming and outgoing shipments. Timeliness and attendance during hours and days of truck scales operation are crucial, especially during Harvest and other times. The operator will check seals on truck doors/openings against the individual 'Truck Seal' and check 'Bill of Ladings' against 'Truck Seal'. Additionally, the operator will be responsible for the daily check balancing of the scales and reporting of scale weight issues to the assigned person, as well as managing the inventory of scale supplies and 'Farmer Stock Delivery Tickets'. Correct recording of trailer tag numbers, 'Bill of Ladings' numbers, scale ticket numbers, delivery tickets numbers and BOL numbers is essential. The operator may also assist with other office tasks as necessary, including answering the phone, maintaining cleanliness of the work area, and recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions, security issues, and environmental issues.
