About The Position

This position serves as the first point of contact for customers depositing material at a transfer station or material recovery facility. The role involves interfacing directly with customers, calculating payments, checking loads, and ensuring safety compliance for both customers and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct customers and other traffic, answering questions accurately.
  • Correctly calculate payments for customers.
  • Enter all extra charges and load grading into the computer as provided by site personnel.
  • Ensure incoming loads are safe and free from inappropriate materials.
  • Ensure customers and employees conduct business safely and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain general upkeep of the Scale House.
  • Complete all administrative tasks, including regular filing and required reports.
  • Keep the immediate supervisor informed of all issues or matters requiring attention.
  • Perform required data entry and minor customer service tasks.
  • Work all assigned shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time.
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of workplace safety and health.
  • Approach all interactions with employees, customers, and vendors with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Project a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and positive attitude that instills customer confidence and reflects a professional image.
  • Participate in all required company meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
