Scale Operator 12 hour day shift (A)
About The Position
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ensure customer specifications and quality meets 100% WTB standards and perform the following duties. Other duties may be assigned. Read and understand scheduling/pick lists for each customer Must weigh, label, and document all specifications according to customer picklist Provide each customer pick list for the line team to review Ensure 100% knowledge of WTB AS-400 data system Identify all production materials. Packaging materials, core tubes, labels, etc. Ensure lock-out, tag-out locations and proper procedure Ensure shift production records for every customer order are completed properly and passed to your supervisor at shift closing Ensure proper materials are available for incoming shift Understand production requirements for each customer order, and the importance of maintaining a level of 85-100% efficiency. Ensure knowledge of quality testing for each customer’s requirements Learn and understand the importance of first grade prime fiber and the revenue impact it has when converted to Regar. Must provide team communication and organization skills Maintain a safe and clean work environment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibility. Requires leadership abilities to direct employees to break and to provide quality feedback on production run for needed adjustments. Able to take direction, read and understand production requirements, inventory, scanning, label ID, etc., Strong attention to detail required. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strongly prefer 4 years in manufacturing environment operating machine equipment successfully.
- Understands Feeds, Speeds, LOTO, etc.
- Leadership abilities to work and direct self-directed teams as needed.
- Basic computer skills with MS Office.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
