The Scale Operator Floater will weigh trucks at multiple sites. Depending on the size of the facility, other duties as assigned may include Kronos (Payroll) entry & reporting, P2P Receiving duties, KPI reporting and/or general administrative duties. This position is a floater position in Joliet with the possibility of covering Newark, Morris, Sheridan and Utica when needed.

Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION
Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times. Responsible for site-specific safety training of all visitors; completed in a professional manner
Weighs trucks and ticket outbound sales using the Lafarge LIFE system
Communicates effectively and timely with Sales staff
Assists customers in identifying needed product and amount
Maintain accurate cash and COD records, Establish win-win relationships with haulers to provide best transportation services
Maintain or improve order entry systems and procedures to provide on-time delivery and effective communication with customers and Lafarge employees
Performs other duties as time permits or as assigned

High School diploma/GED
1-3 years of work experience
Must be computer literate and able to demonstrate competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
SAP preferred but not required
Able to perform basic math computations
Knowledge of products, industry terminology
Punctual and reliable; good attendance required
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE")
