Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a customer service role is preferred; experience in an aggregate setting is preferred.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with a focus on the prioritization of workload; detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, timely, and reliable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Oracle Business Environment, and other relevant software packages.
  • Willingness to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud noises.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Maintain Cash Fund accurately and report any discrepancies; handle cash sales by collecting cash, checks, or credit card transactions.
  • Maintain the office in a neat and professional manner; answer phones and handle office duties and projects as requested.
  • Prepare scales for daily use; work with Plant Admin Support Supervisors to troubleshoot and repair issues; operate the truck scales and generate correct tickets for customers.
  • Weigh and record incoming materials such as gasoline, diesel fuel, explosives, and scrap sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers professionally, communicating clearly, and resolving issues.
  • Direct customers to piles and instruct load out personnel of customer needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
