About The Position

The Scaffolding General Foreman is responsible for leading and managing daily activities and production on construction sites, ensuring compliance with project timelines, specifications, and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with project management, supervising crew members, and maintaining high productivity and quality while adhering to budget constraints.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or related area.
• Thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
• Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of work assigned.
• Knowledge of scheduling, material control, unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
• Effective communication skills to convey written and oral instructions to craft workers and management.
• Strong motivational and team player skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Management to organize crew, materials, and equipment for optimal productivity and quality.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets, and daily management reports.
• Assist in developing a weekly schedule and carry out the sequence of activities for the assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work assignments within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to leadmen and crews.
• Monitor compliance with company policies among all employees under supervision.
• Continuously check the work of the crew and adjust plans and schedules as required.
• Prioritize workload and operate within a defined budget.
