About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Scaffold Builder for a position in Pass Christian, MS. This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. It is a non-exempt role that reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman) and involves assigned duties according to specific procedures, with work being checked frequently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
• NCCER certification is a plus.
• Ability to read engineered drawings preferred.
• Ability to operate different types of Forklift.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.).
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.).
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc.

Responsibilities

• Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness.
• Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels.
• Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting it in place.
• Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required.
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
