About The Position

The Scaffold Builder Helper at Austin Industrial is responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and dismantling tubular scaffolding and other temporary structures. This role requires a strong focus on safety, effective communication, and adherence to industry standards, ensuring that scaffolding is erected and dismantled properly and safely.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience within the Scaffolding craft.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Determines type of scaffold needed.
• Inspects job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
• Effectively communicates safety hazards and mitigates avoidable hazards prior to construction of scaffolding.
• Transports tubular scaffold or other structural material and erects the scaffold to the dimensions required.
• Hoists scaffolding materials upward in order to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secures and levels locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Properly secures scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adheres to all OSHA, site specific and Austin Industrial requirements for the erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
• Performs final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Dismantles scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspects and properly stows scaffolding material after dismantling.
