About The Position

The Scaffold Builder is responsible for assisting in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. This role requires working at heights and involves the use of basic hand tools. The Scaffold Builder will determine the type of scaffold needed, transport materials, erect scaffolding as instructed, and ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to, including OSHA and site-specific requirements. The position also includes dismantling scaffolding and performing inspections of completed structures.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• 2-3 years' experience in scaffolding preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a valid TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Bring basic hand tools to the site.
• Determine the type of scaffold needed.
• Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material.
• Erect the scaffold as instructed by the scaffold builder.
• Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structures.
• Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Secure scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements.
• Dismantle scaffolding when properly communicated to do so.
• Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
• Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
