About The Position

The Scaffold Build Lead at Chart Industries is responsible for overseeing scaffold erection and disassembly, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and conducting daily inspections of equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and efficiency in the assembly and fabrication processes at the New Iberia facility, which specializes in cryogenic equipment for various industries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of scaffold erection and disassembly.
• Blueprint reading skills required.
• Knowledge of shop math preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in scaffold erection and disassembly.
• Experience in the cryogenic equipment industry.

Responsibilities

• Possess basic knowledge of scaffold erection and disassembly.
• Complete daily visual inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Erect scaffolds in compliance with OSHA regulations (CFR 1926.451 and/or CFR 1910.28).
• Utilize fall protection equipment in accordance with OSHA standards (CFR 1926.502).
• Work at elevated heights up to 75ft while adhering to safety standards.
