Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of SCADA experience specifically with water/wastewater
  • Demonstrates a personable, outgoing demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven project experience with SCADA hardware and software, including the ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and improve SCADA solutions.
  • Proficient in interpreting control drawings and P&ID diagrams.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Capable of managing projects within established budgets while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Strong work ethic, embraces new challenges, will do the necessary research to find the right solution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to support ongoing company growth.
  • Manage instrumentation, calibration, and SCADA projects from proposal through completion, including plans and submittal review, estimating, quoting, project meetings, scheduling work, and project closeout.
  • Travel to client sites to review project scopes, evaluate proposal opportunities, attend project meetings, and oversee project execution.
  • Coordinate and support field staff by preparing project files, ensuring required materials, tools, and equipment are secured, verifying that all safety requirements are met.
  • Provide daily communication with clients and field teams to ensure project alignment, timely execution, and issue resolution.
  • Reinforce a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, OSHA, and company safety programs.
  • Participate in safety planning, job hazard analyses, and incident reviews as required.
  • Review and approve calibration reports, ensuring quality and compliance prior to client delivery.
  • Address client concerns professionally and escalate as needed.
  • Help oversee the UIS ISO 17025 Program to ensure full compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Respond to and manage 24/7/365 client emergency service requests.
  • Close out projects by addressing repairs, additional scope, final reports, service contracts, and follow-up client communication.
  • Represent UIS at industry tradeshows, including setup and management of the UIS SCADA booth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support company objectives and operational efficiency.
