About The Position

The SCA Engineering Technician V position at SAIC involves supporting the US Navy in Bedford, IN, focusing on the management and technical oversight of trailers used for transporting explosive assets. Requirements

• Associate's Degree in related discipline and at least 8 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of related experience.
• Ability to work from schematics and engineering drawings.
• Ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems on operational hardware and software.
• Effective communication skills to convey issues to the technical team through verbal communication and technical reports.
• Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Report technical and programmatic information to project stakeholders.
• Work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, develop, test, and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy.
• Monitor inspection intervals and coordinate with SAIC, Government, and local vendors to ensure inspection cycles are met without impacting mission needs.
• Facilitate the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the U.S. Navy.
• Serve as the technical expert and on-site representative, driving collaboration and ensuring the seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
