Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a SCA Engineering Technician 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. The SCA Engineering Technician 1 is responsible for supporting repair, production and manufacturing processes. Will repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be repairing highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with relevant soldering, production, or assembly experience being a plus.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift as required.
  • Ability to wear safety gear, such as steel toed shoes and glasses.
  • Ability to handle and assemble small parts.
  • Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with soldering electronics components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations and solder work on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
  • Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
