About The Position

As a SCA Appliance Mechanic Senior at Sodexo, you are a hands-on dynamic problem solver and leader. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance of government furnished food preparation and serving equipment to ensure it is in good working order. Using your experience, knowledge, and strong mechanical skills; you will troubleshoot a variety of appliance issues at the site.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED Certificate, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years in the commercial appliance repair field
• 1-2 years of formal training in appliance repair from the Commercial Food Equipment Service Association (CFESA) or an accredited vocational school, or community college.
• Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Technician Certification under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act and EPA regulations.
• Certification from an approved sanitation program.
• Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
• Test and diagnostics appliances using meters as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter.
• Support mentoring and training of other technicians and ensure proper record keeping and safety compliance
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
