About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Sports Club Operations Manager to oversee daily club operations, enhance member satisfaction and drive retention. This role is perfect for a motivated professional with a background in sports, hospitality or fitness who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in hospitality, athletic club management, luxury resort operations or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide and Preferred Hotels & Resorts service standards, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Proven team leadership and development skills, including experience in staff training, coaching and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, guests and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset to resolve member concerns quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and club management software (preferred).
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of Sports Club Operations, including front desk/retail and housekeeping, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for members.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and service-oriented culture among staff.
  • Manage and forecast departmental expenses, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining top-tier club standards.
  • Engage with members daily, addressing concerns, gathering feedback and creating initiatives that boost retention and satisfaction.
  • Uphold and enforce Forbes Travel Guide and Preferred Hotels & Resorts service standards, ensuring a world-class experience for members and guests.
  • Collaborate with resort and club staff, attending key meetings to align operations with overall guest and member experience goals.
  • Assist with membership-related functions, helping to build a strong club community.
  • Provide personalized member services, including updating records, handling minor billing inquiries and assisting with account-related needs.
  • Offer administrative support to various Sports Club departments as approved by the Director of Sports Club.
  • Serve as Manager-on-Duty as scheduled, ensuring smooth operations, quick problem-solving, and an outstanding club environment.
