About The Position

The Supply Chain Asset Protection Lead is responsible for overseeing the duties of the Supply Chain Asset Protection Officers (APO) and ensuring the safety and security of the facility. This role includes training and leading the APO team, implementing shrinkage control measures, and maintaining effective communication with management. The position also involves monitoring the facility for unsafe conditions, conducting emergency response training, and managing records related to asset protection.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in asset protection or a related field.
  • Ability to conduct investigations and audits.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Proficiency in using CCTV and other security technologies.

  • Certifications in security or asset protection.

Responsibilities

  • Train, schedule, and lead assigned shifts of Asset Protection Officers in the absence of the Asset Protection Manager.
  • Maintain staffing and execution of processes at the Facility Truck Gate.
  • Provide Asset Protection awareness and education as directed by the Asset Protection Manager.
  • Ensure effective communication with Asset Protection Officers and management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of training for Asset Protection Officers.
  • Implement shortage control measures to deter theft and develop leads for investigations.
  • Discuss shrinkage topics in department meetings to provide leadership.
  • Establish protocols for using trending information to identify internal investigations.
  • Audit departments for adherence to merchandise protection standards.
  • Conduct patrols to detect unsafe conditions and security risks.
  • Inspect parcels entering and leaving the facility.
  • Check bags and verify identification of persons entering the facility.
  • Monitor metal detectors in select jewelry locations.
  • Utilize CCTV systems to monitor activities inside and outside the facility.
  • Verify trailers and drivers upon arrival and departure.
  • Assist in executing Emergency Action Plans and Accident Investigations.
  • Proactively identify potential acts of theft and fraud.
  • Interview team members suspected of theft or fraud and document investigations.
  • Create and manage records for apprehensions and evidence retention.
  • Consistently meet established performance standards.
