Roche Diagnostics acquired Stratos Genomics (SBX Nanopore Sequencing) in 2020 for its novel Sequencing by eXpansion (SBX) technology. SBX uses unique applications from chemistry, biochemistry, electrochemistry, and protein engineering to sequence DNA by nanopore in rapid time with high accuracy and low cost. The SBX Engineering team is passionate and dedicated to our SBX technology and the impact high throughput, low-cost DNA sequencing will have on patient outcomes. We are looking for individuals who share this passion and are excited to join a dynamic, cross-functional and collaborative group. The right candidate will be self-driven and highly motivated to quickly learn new skills and techniques in order to help advance rapidly evolving projects. This role will be responsible for the execution and development of processes and instrumentation to support SBX technology. This will include significant time in the lab performing both routine and experimental protocols. There will be opportunities to assist with hardware design, software development and process development.
