About The Position

SBP, a leading social impact organization focused on disaster resilience and recovery, is seeking an Advisor & Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their team in Houston, Texas. This position is integral to the success of SBP's Resilience and Recovery Fellows Program, which aims to support communities in mitigating risks and enhancing their recovery processes following disasters. The Advisor will provide assistance and subject matter expertise to SBP programs, particularly in guiding the Fellows and their community partners. The role involves a comprehensive understanding of federal and state grant writing and project implementation, particularly in areas such as FEMA's Hazard and Resilience Portfolio, HUD's disaster recovery programs, and various environmental and transportation initiatives.
