About The Position

The position involves ensuring that equipment is operating properly by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to minimize equipment downtime or loss of production. The role requires completing assigned preventative maintenance tasks on schedule according to performance standards, understanding project requirements, and working to complete tasks with a high level of quality and workmanship in a timely manner. The individual will maintain coating system operation components to a high level of performance, regularly communicate activities and projects to the supervisor, assist in the development and upgrade of process equipment, and stay abreast of new methods and procedures. The position also involves monitoring equipment operations, documenting maintenance and repairs, and developing necessary skills to repair specialized coating equipment.

Requirements

• Associates or technical degree in a mechanical field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance position.
• Must be able to understand and operate all coating equipment.
• Skilled in all mechanical applications including electric, plumbing, welding/soldering, metal working, mechanical tools, test instruments, and general repairs.
• Proficient use of MS Office programs.
• Strong hands-on mechanical abilities.
• Good understanding of high vacuum practices.
• Requires flexibility in work schedule including extended hours, weekends, holidays, and cell phone coverage.

• Documents all related maintenance and repairs in proper logs and spreadsheets.
• Develops necessary skills to repair compressors, cryo pumps, e-beam guns, and other specialized coating equipment.
