This involves reviewing work orders to determine cuts, adjusting the saw for required cuts, and setting the speed of the saw and feed rolls. The Sawyer observes the automatic feeding of lumber or manually pushes lumber into feed rolls, and is responsible for stacking cut lumber after processing. Additionally, the Sawyer advises the supervisor of dull saw blades and performs other assigned duties.
