We currently have an opportunity for a Saw Technician. This position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a starting rate of $21.71 per hour. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Saw Technician. In this role, you will use specialized tools to process materials and fittings to a specified angle, length, or shape. Your work directly contributes to the quality and reliability of our products, which serve critical infrastructure across the country. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred; experience with plastics is a plus
- Comfortable with measurement systems and basic math
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with effective communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Collaborative team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs safely
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred; experience with plastics is a plus
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and confidently for fitting fabrication
- Use measuring tools accurately, such as tape measures
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing safety and quality
- Operate various power tools and saws to cut materials to defined specifications
- Wear appropriate safety gear as directed by the safety team and supervisor
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Follow clear instructions and seek clarification when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace; perform daily resets
- Support other departments as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
