About The Position

The position involves performing a variety of job duties related to the proficient set-ups of Cut-Off machines under general supervision. Responsibilities include reviewing routers to determine set-up, tooling, and specifications of parts, distinguishing and utilizing the Heat Number and Length Reading when interpreting routers, performing set-up and operation of machines effectively and within specified time frames, assisting and training new operators, adhering to all PBF company policies, and maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area using safety standards and expectations. Management may change responsibilities and/or assignments to meet business needs without prior notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate from a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to verbally communicate effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret router instructions and specifications.
• Properly use calipers, micrometers and other gauge measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Review router to determine set-up, tooling and specification of parts.
• Distinguish and utilize the Heat Number and Length Reading when interpreting router.
• Perform set-up and operation of machines effectively and within specified time frames.
• Assist and train new operators effectively.
• Adhere to all PBF company policies.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area using safety standards and expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hourly pay range of $21.75 to $26.00 USD.
