About The Position

The position involves assisting workers engaged in the fabrication of structural or sheet metal products. The role includes a variety of tasks such as lifting, positioning, and removing workpieces from machines to assist in fitting. The employee will also load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work-in-progress by hand or truck. Additionally, the role requires cutting material using a saw cutting machine, particularly focusing on cutting multiple dimensions of square tubing and possibly I-Beam cutting. Reading drawings and blueprints is essential, along with understanding and following safety procedures and guidelines. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience or saw operating experience.
• Ability to work 10-12-hour rotational shifts as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with hand tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience working in a machine shop environment.
