Packing Trainee- Saw Operator
About The Position
The Packer assists in the packing of cartons by folding them, following prescribed arrangement; placing products in cartons, sealing cartons, affixing proper labels, putting material on pallets, followed by filling out paperwork for shipping. This must all be completed while maintaining a safe work environment. What you will be responsible for: Properly packaging finished product to customer specifications. Attaches identification data onto article. Records factors of damaged goods. Assure cores are proper length for product and set correctly. Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean, clutter free workstation. Able to participate in a team-oriented environments. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Must pass a skills-based test
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently, self-motivated, self-starter with a minimum of three (3) months related experience and/or will train hands on.
- Must pass company background check and drug screen.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
