About The Position

Responsible for learning and performing the set ups and running of all Saw Machines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of strong mechanical experience
• Computer literate with the ability to learn CNC Machining
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn and seek out new skills
• Ability to read material prints and BOMs
• Knowledge of air tools, power tools, grinders, and hand tools
• General knowledge of shop machines and precision measuring tools (calipers, mics, tape measure)
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and within tight deadlines
• Extremely organized, acute attention to detail, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to safely operate (or learn to operate) a forklift, pallet jack and/or overhead crane while moving materials around the shop

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the vertical and horizontal Automatic Saw
• Making sure the machine is set up properly, monitoring it during the process and documenting results
• Perform basic math functions such as addition and subtraction
• Works under immediate supervision and is not typically required to exercise independent judgment, but at times will be necessary
• Safety and security: is able to observe safety and security procedures pertaining to plant maintenance/repair and use equipment properly
• Keep work area organized to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Performs all other duties as directed by Management
• Operate forklift to pull material from racks safely
