About The Position
Aegis is partnered with a rapidly growing industrial equipment manufacturer expanding operations to support a strong backlog of custom machinery and data center infrastructure projects. This organization has been operating for over a century and is significantly increasing production capacity, including launching a second shift. They are seeking experienced Saw Operators to support fabrication operations.
Requirements
- 5+ years horizontal band saw experience
- Experience cutting steel and aluminum
- Blueprint reading proficiency
- Strong understanding of tolerances
- Ability to work overtime
Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal band saw (Clausing Kalamazoo or similar)
- Read and interpret blueprints and cut lists
- Set up saws for various metal types, lengths, and angles
- Verify dimensions using calipers, tape measures, and squares
- Maintain tolerances required for downstream machining and welding
- Maintain a safe, organized workspace
- Support overtime needs to meet production deadlines
