Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job.
Familiarity with safety programs in manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior machine operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate a saw for mattress line.
Perform work tasks with a safety mindset in compliance with company safety standards. Protect themselves and co-workers from potentially hazardous work conditions. Alert leads and/or management about potential safety concerns.
Maintain and protect company quality standards by performing work tasks with a quality mindset.
Protect and maintain confidentiality concerning any and all proprietary, data, and any other related trade secrets.
Perform assigned tasks using standard operating procedures or instruction from team lead and supervisor.
Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Measure buns properly and input measurements correctly for the saw parameters for cutting.
Inventory and record quantities of materials and finished products; requisition additional supplies as necessary.
Properly record loss or bad foam for company bill backs/ credit.
Promote the continuous improvement mindset by giving ideas for process improvements for safety, quality, productivity, and potential cost savings to team leader and/or management.
Follow all company policies considered as conditions of employment.
