About The Position

The Machine Operator fabricates parts by positioning or aligning workpieces against stops and guides or with dies; operating equipment; observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls; and replacing dies. This role is an important role in the construction of our portal saw mills and industrial equipment.

Requirements

General math knowledge -- Required
High School Diploma | High School Education or Equivalent -- Required

Nice To Haves

1-3 years | Fabrication experience -- Preferred
Construction/Framing experience -- Preferred
Mechanical aptitude -- Preferred
Tow Motor / Forklift -- Preferred

Responsibilities

Set up and operate any assigned machine in manufacturing area.
Read blueprint and fabricate part per print specifications.
Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instrument.
Clean work area daily.
Train other employees.
Meet production goals.
Count parts accurately.
Lift 50 lbs. to waist.
Ability to retain learned knowledge.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Stand 8 to 10 hours each day.
Performs other duties as assigned.
