The Role - Saw Operator This is hardworking, hands-on work-hot, heavy, and challenging-but it comes with the reward of great compensation, benefits, and long-term career stability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Solid math, blueprint reading, and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to handle heavy physical work (up to 100 lbs occasionally)
- Self-motivated with initiative and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate metal cutting saws to precise specifications
- Install saw blades, set gauges, and adjust saw speeds based on materials
- Receive, store, and route bar stock efficiently and safely
- Operate overhead cranes for loading/unloading materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in training programs and contribute to continuous improvement
- Perform daily maintenance on saw equipment
