About The Position

Anchor Fabrication has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Saw Operator to join their Saw department. The Saw Operator is responsible for cutting metal stock on an industrial band saw, ensuring that customer specifications and productivity requirements are met or exceeded by accurately reading blueprints and setting machine controls. This role requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment and is crucial for consistently meeting customer needs and supporting the company's continued national growth.

Requirements

• 1 plus years of experience with Saw operation / Sheet Metal
• Ability to make simple decimal – fraction conversions
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to read and understand measuring devices, to include a tape measure

Responsibilities

• Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center
• Ensure machine is working properly
• Operate large metal cutting machines (sawing)
• Ensure nesting program matches print with work order
• Ensure that the correct gas, speed and consumables are applied correctly
• Accurately project completion of work orders at work center
• Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion
• Continually maintain a clean working environment
• Follow and support Safety Policies
• May perform other duties as assigned
