About The Position

Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is seeking a Steel Receiving Coordinator/Saw Operator to join their day-shift team. This position verifies and keeps records on incoming steel shipments using the crane and forklift. Additionally, they are responsible for banding skids for shipping details.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to safey operate a crane and forklift
Detail oriented and very organized
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk
Repetitive hand motions
Ability to read, write and speak English competently
Prolonged use of computer

Responsibilities

Manage the receiving of steel shipments and unload properly
Band skids for shipping details out
Receive, identify and log in all items received
Checks and signs delivery slips for received items
Assists the shop helpers with unpacking merchandise- verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents
Records damaged or defective items, and informs the Manager of issues
Completes required forms and ensures proper documentation of all shipping and receiving items
Ensure that all incoming steel shipments are properly labeled with identifying information and that correlating documents are available with each shipment
Assist with data entry and project follow-up as requested by the department lead
