About The Position

Cutting inventory using a saw machine as specified according to work orders and by directive of supervisor. Physical Requirements Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive Motion Function in the Job Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling.
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Responsible for operating a saw machine to cut steel material.
Display the ability to accurately use basic measuring devices, including tape measure and micrometers.
Display the ability to use manual hand tools, including wrenches and clamps.
Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure
Assemble customer orders according to work orders
Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management
Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.
Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.
Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks

Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality
May need to work overtime and weekends as assigned (depending on business need).
