About The Position

801 Local in Frontenac is hiring for a Sauté Line Cook . This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) hot line position working in a team-oriented, high-volume / fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest quality food & drink.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years, but preferably at least 3 years of sauté / hot line experience
  • Ability to successfully work a sauté station in a fast-paced / high stress environment while remaining calm, professional and working effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to handle knives, operate kitchen equipment, work with high heat/open flame
  • Ability to follow recipe & presentation guidelines while maintaining proper food safety & sanitation standards
  • Must be available 7 days per week, including days, evening, weekends & some holidays
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
  • Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
  • Continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching & twisting
  • Physical ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs; ability to squat, kneel, and climb

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate food orders to support timely / efficient delivery to each table
  • Meet special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality standards
  • Effectively communicate with BOH team in loud environment
