About The Position
The Parent Educator position at Renewal Unlimited, Inc. is a full-time, year-round role based in Baraboo, WI, focused on providing educational support to families with children aged 0-5 years. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting home visits to work with 10-12 families within Sauk County, implementing a comprehensive program using the Parents as Teachers curriculum. This role emphasizes the home as a learning environment, facilitating parent-child interactions during scheduled 90-minute weekly visits. The Parent Educator will plan activities tailored to meet the individual needs of families, enhancing parents' abilities as primary educators of their children. Additionally, the educator will assist families in identifying supports and services that promote healthy child and family development. The position also involves planning and implementing weekly playgroups for children aged 0 to 5, collaborating with the Family Resource Center team to organize family engagement activities, male involvement initiatives, and parent training sessions. While the role primarily requires daytime work, limited pre-planned evening work may be necessary. Travel throughout Dodge County is required for home visits, and mileage reimbursement is available with proof of auto liability. The position offers a competitive pay range of $18.37 to $20.28 per hour, depending on education and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
