About The Position

Price Chopper Supermarkets is accepting applications for future part-time openings across various departments within the store. Most hiring activity occurs on the front end and night crew, but individuals with previous experience may be hired into other departments. Price Chopper has a history of promoting from within, and all full-time positions are posted internally, allowing part-time positions to lead to long-term careers for motivated individuals who are eager to assist customers. When applying, candidates can list up to three departments of interest or select 'any department' if they are open to working anywhere in the store. Applications are reviewed based on hiring needs, and selected candidates will be contacted for interviews via phone or email. Those not selected will be notified via email.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch service at the Front End as part of the Six-Star Service program.
• Prepare and sell artisan breads in the Bakery department.
• Fill prescriptions and provide health care counseling in the Pharmacy department.
• Create custom bouquets and manage floral arrangements in the Floral department.
• Prepare and serve high-quality deli meats and salads in the Deli/Food Service department.
• Stock and merchandise grocery items in the Grocery department.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to protect the store and its customers.
• Provide fresh meat products in the Meat department.
• Educate customers about fruits and vegetables in the Produce department.
• Offer fresh seafood and assist customers in meal preparation in the Seafood department.
• Engage with customers to sample and sell store products.
